3 F Goals 2020 + Starting The New Year In Paris

2019 just ended and oh what a year it has been!

I got my Canadian Permanent Residency, went to Mecca for the first time and performed Umrah, got married in Medina, turned 30 and ended the year in Paris with the love of my life!

2019 definitely had been my year Alhumdulillah but, (and yes there is always a BUT!) It also made me realize how self growth is a life long commitment.

I have been contemplating and realized there and 3 Fs that I need to work on 😁

1st F – Fitness!

I always wanted to have toned abs, I have been into fineness on and off but never actually came close to achieving this goal, which has been on my mind for the last decade almost!

I definitely want to improve my stamina, learn more about nutrition, supplements, holistic health and more. It boggles my mind how some of these most basic skills aren’t taught in schools.

I also learnt that all goals should have an action plan so you can actually work on achieving it.

For my 1st F, I hired a personal trainer and have started working out 3-4 times a week. I have started reading up more on the topic and have been obsessed with Rujuta Diwekar and her books on nutrition and fitness.

2nd F – Faith

Being born in a Muslim family, I have always believed in god, but there has been so many times when I had questions and still do about a lot of things and I feel it’s about time I start learning and resolving doubts.

One major Faith goal I have is to start praying 5 fard salah regularly.

I have been working on improving my Arabic reading skills, so this year I want to be fluent in Arabic reading, work on Tajweed and understanding Arabic grammar.

The last one is to attempt to memorize Quran and start working towards doing Hifz InShaAllah.

3rd F – Finance

Sadly I am one of those people who at 30 has no savings, or investment! I have gold and diamond jewelry, designer bags etc but no significant savings or investment.

This is one major area of improvement that I can’t afford to ignore anymore.

The aim is to have $10k in savings, and atleast $5k in investments.

I also want to learn about various kinds of investments, learn more about Zakat (mandatory donation each year to charity for Muslims) Islamic banking, etc.

That’s all for now πŸ˜€

I will definitely share more about each ot these goals, the action plans that works for me to achieve it and other learning resources.

What are your goals for the new year? Do you have any tips or tricks that can help me with my goals? Let me know in the comments down below πŸ™‚
